Snowboarding is a fun pastime, and many people enjoy going down the slope with just a board between them and the snow. However, you can’t enjoy yourself without the right equipment.
The snowboard itself is essential, but most people don’t think about the snowboarding gloves. You need something that keeps your hands warm while allowing you to use the hands for direction. Finding the best snowboard gloves is essential, and we have chosen three different brands and styles to compare so that you can make a more informed decision.
The HighLoong Men’s Waterproof Ski Snowboard Gloves is made using a skin-friendly material called Nylon Taslon. It also has a special coating on the outside to make the gloves waterproof, which is essential when you’re dealing with the snow.
These gloves come with double-waterproofing technology. There is a TPU membrane insert with a PU coating on the outside to give double protection from moisture. However, the gloves should not be submerged in water, as there are two small holes on each glove to allow ventilation so that your hands do not sweat.
Of course, you can only snowboard when it’s cold (and snowy), so you need gloves that are extra warm to keep the hands toasty. Most people don’t realize it, but the hands are one of the first areas of the body to get cold and numb.
These gloves use premium 40g Thinsulate and include a polyfill lining on the inside to keep your fingers warmer. The tricot lining that goes next to your skin is also soft for comfort. The gloves also feature longer fingers, which are highly suitable for men with large hands or longer fingers.
THE VBG VBIGER Ski Gloves is very comfortable and warm, as well as silky smooth on the hands, since the inside of the gloves is lined with soft velvet. At the same time, the polyester fabric protects the hands from excess moisture while the PU on the leather palm provides a durable outer shell that is abrasion resistant and windproof.
It also has a resin cotton film with waterproof TPU mixed in on the inside of the gloves to reduce coldness and keep your hands warmer. It can withstand splashes of water, but cannot be submerged in water.
While they work well for snowboarding, they can also be used for a variety of other winter sports, such as sledding and skiing. Plus, you can use them as gloves for shoveling snow, working in the cold, or motorcycle rides.
These gloves feature triple-warmth locking. The elastic wrist base is adjustable and includes a nylon wrist strap and drawstring enclosure. That way, you can put them on comfortably and secure them so that snow or water don’t fall into the glove and down onto your hand when you’re snowboarding. You’ll also note that the gloves have a connection clip, which helps to keep them paired so that you never lose them.
The Double Black Ski and Snowboard Gloves looks sleek and modern. You’ll notice right away that the glove has a zipper enclosure, which is perfect for storing your room key or using hand-warmer products.
Along with such, there is a buckle closure that helps you keep the glove snug and tight to prevent snow from getting inside. If that weren’t enough, the wrist area has a drawstring enclosure with a secure tightening system that keeps it in place throughout the day.
These gloves have something that the others didn’t have, which impressed us immensely. The glove “fingers” are touch compatible, which means you don’t have to take off the gloves to answer your phone, send a text, or take a picture. Of course, the glove fingers are bulky, so it’s not going to work perfectly every time, and you may have challenges where others don’t, but the concept is amazing.
The gloves are also made using durable nylon shells with reinforced synthetic leather palms. Therefore, they’re weatherproof for almost any conditions.
You can use them in snow, ice, rain, and more. They are waterproof from splashes, though they shouldn’t be submerged in water for extended periods.
While there were a variety of excellent things to love about each of these pairs of gloves, we do believe that one was far superior to the others. It is essential to find the best snowboard gloves so that you can enjoy your time on the slope without fear of frostbite.
The feature we looked for most was waterproofing (which all had to some degree). We believe the Double Black Ski and Snowboard Gloves is the best choice all around. While these gloves were made using quality materials like the others, and offered waterproofing features like the others, we loved all the added features that came with the gloves.
The small zipper area was large enough to hold hand warmer pouches if you get extra-cold hands or the temperatures drop to below freezing. While some people think the glove is supposed to be enough, there are times when you need a little extra warmth, and we liked that this glove offered that option.
We also really liked the straps that will allow you to hang the gloves from the wrist. While it’s not essential and you’re likely to leave them on while performing snow sports, it is a nice touch if you plan to use the gloves for outside chores around the house.
